During the course of their normal operation the computer systems and software procedures employed for running the Site will acquire personal data the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This is information, which is not collected in order to associate it with identified individuals, but which, by virtue of their nature, could, through processing and association with data held by third partied, lead to users being identified.
This category includes: IP addresses or domain names of computers employed by users who connect to the Site; the addresses, in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the resources requested; the time of the request; the method used for submitting the request to the server; the size of the file received in reply; the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters associated with the operating system and the user’s IT environment.
These data are only used for obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check that it is operating correctly. They are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used for establishing responsibility in cases of hypothetical cyber crimes to the detriment of the Site: other than for this reason, the data on web contacts are not saved permanently, unless otherwise requested by the user (e.g. for accessing own pages on the Site that summarise the services used and the information requested etc.).
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional despatch, explicit and voluntary, of electronic mail to the addresses that appear on the Site, results in the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address – required in order to respond to the request – as well as any other personal data included in the message.

The use of so-called session cookies (that are not saved permanently on the user’s computer and disappear once the browser is shut down) is strictly limited to the transmission of session information (consisting of casual numbers generated by the server) required in order to allow the Site to be explored securely and efficiently.
The so-called session cookies used by the Site eliminate the need for other computer techniques that may be potentially detrimental to the confidential nature of a user’s browsing and do not permit the acquisition of the user’s personal identification details. The optionality of providing data. Other than when specified for navigation data, the user is always at liberty to provide personal data for the purposes for which he or she connects to the Site. Nonetheless, the failure to provide data, as described in the individual information pages, could in some cases make it impossible to obtain what is being requested. Processing arrangements Personal data are processed using automated systems and only for the time that is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they have been collected.
Specific security measures are employed to prevent the loss of data, their illegal or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
